SCIENCE COUNCIL MEMBERSHIP
The Council is an independent body composed by scientists from across the globe advising the Institute about high-priority scientific issues that could impact public diplomacy.
At least 75 percent of its members should be from academic fields other than public diplomacy because the format of our work is deliberately interdisciplinary, designed to encourage the exchange of concepts and theories, empirical examples, and case studies. Possible public diplomacy strategies and actions may draw on different methodological approaches, therefore, this membership category is open to researchers from both the social and natural sciences, provided their area of study is connected to civil society's role in an international context.
